How to link Neki Notifications to Microsoft Teams
Administrators have the ability to link their organization on Neki to a Microsoft Teams channel for their choosing. This enables the channel and its members to receive notifications regarding new posts, mentions, and more. By doing so, administrators can help foster seamless workflow integration by bringing the benefits of the Neki platform into the central hub of your organization.
How to Link Neki Notifications to Teams
- Log onto your Microsoft Teams account. Click on the team of your choosing.
- Navigate to the left side of your screen and click on the 3 dots to view the settings for your team.
- Click the option to add a channel.
- Enter the channel name and description for the channel. Be sure to choose a name that will best fit its use case to avoid confusion. Additionally, set the privacy and toggle the ability to show the channel in everyone’s channel list. Once you are done, click ‘Add’.
- Find the newly created channel and click on the 3 dots to view additional options for the channel.
- Click on the ‘Connectors’ button to add a connector.
- Once in the menu, scroll or search for the ‘Incoming Webhook’ option.
- Add the ‘Incoming Webhook’ connector.
- Once the Webhook has been added, navigate back to the Connectors window by clicking on the 3 dots.
- Begin configuring the webhook by adding the name as Neki and uploading the Neki logo as the custom image (click the link to download).
11.Click ‘Create’
12.Once created, find and copy the Webhook URL.
13.Log into admin.neki.io and navigate to the ‘Notifications’ tab on the left menu.
14.Click the ‘Connect’ button next to the ‘Teams’ option.
15.A pop up will appear asking for a Webhook URL. Paste in the URL that you copied from Step 12.
